CEMC: Championing Chicago's Electronic Music Culture

The Chicago Electronic Music Conference (CEMC) was founded by a collective of artists, DJs, and music professionals who recognized the need for a space where electronic music culture could thrive beyond the dance floor. From its inception, CEMC’s mission has been to foster collaboration, education, and connection—offering more than just a party, but a platform for creative professionals to grow, learn, and engage.

AIAIAI was proud to sponsor this year’s CEMC, which featured performances from local talent including Jayah, Enberg, and Max Jacobson, alongside legendary DJs like Mike Dearborn, DJ Lady D, and Darryn Jones. The event also included a range of workshops hosted by local community organizations and industry experts.

A highlight of the weekend was a panel and Q&A titled "Music Production & Creativity: Finding Flow in the Studio", hosted by Kai Castro from The Concourse Project. Panelists included Orville Kline (Ableton Certified Trainer), Blu 9 (Poker Flat Recordings), and I Am Me (Twitchin Skratch / Killer Mushrooms), who shared valuable insights on creativity in the studio—from production techniques and gear to strategies for staying inspired.

To cap it off, a few lucky attendees went home with a brand-new pair of AIAIAI headphones.
