W+ Link

At the heart of both headphones is W+ Link, our ultra-low latency technology for seamless wireless connections which first appeared in 2021, with the original TMA-2 (Studio) Wireless+ headphones. W+ Link now has a latency below 10 ms, with all the immediacy and accuracy you'd expect from wired systems – no compromises. It's instant and reliable, built for performance and real-time cueing as well as studio production and detailed listening. 

Both models include a W+ Link transmitter with up to 40 hours of battery life that also connects via 3.5 mm mini-jack or USB-C, letting you go wireless instantly from your mixer, laptop, or audio interface. The TMA-2 Studio and DJ Wireless Headphones have everything you need. Included with each is the X03 W+ Link transmitter, which also supports a minijack line-in and USB-C. So you can plug in your gear – whether mixer, audio interface or laptop – and instantly go wireless. 

Seamless Connection with W+ Link and Bluetooth®

Both headphones use an updated W+ Link connection protocol, sending the same audio twice to guarantee a stable connection without dropouts. To get below 10 ms latency, there's also a new, high-performance audio codec that delivers 320 kbps at 48 kHz, 16-bit, which preserves the most important audio details.

Unlike a Bluetooth® connection, which continuously swaps frequency bands, W+ Link works on a dedicated band to send audio between your transmitter and headphones. Each USB-powered transmitter contains two transmitter chips, and each broadcasts audio simultaneously. This means that if at any point there's signal interference, W+ Link switches seamlessly and automatically to the back-up stream. 

You can also always move between using the W+ Link with the transmitter, or Bluetooth®, with over 20 hours of headphone playback time in W+ Link and up to 40 hours in Bluetooth® - enough for the marathon studio session, DJ set, and almost anything else you can imagine. 

Tune Your Sound

You can customize your EQ profiles in the AIAIAI app for wireless listening. For the DJ Wireless, choose the 12-Band Bass Focus for clubs and other loud environments, Balanced for monitoring, and Listening for while you're on the go, or dial in a Custom five-band EQ to find your perfect sound. For the Studio Wireless, you can select between the 12-Band Detailed, Accurate, and Natural, plus the five-band Custom sound profiles to match your activity and environment.

The wireless technology and battery are integrated into the right speaker cup, allowing for modularity with various memory foam ear cushions and padded headbands.

The TMA-2 Studio Wireless feature over-ear PU leather cushions for comfort and clarity, while offering a neutral and detailed sound. The TMA-2 DJ Wireless comes with on-ear PU leather cushions tested for isolation, punch and comfort. Both use 40 mm bio-cellulose diaphragm drivers for clear, powerful audio with high accuracy and durability. It’s a sustainable design approach that keeps your gear in use, and keeps your creativity uninterrupted.

The UNIT-4 brings professional monitoring out of the studio and into your world. It’s a portable, rechargeable, wireless speaker built with our proprietary W+ Link technology, delivering the same accuracy and clarity you expect from fixed studio speakers – now as mobile as you are. 

W+ Link

UNIT-4 uses W+ Link to stream uncompressed 44.1 kHz, 16-bit audio with 16 ms of latency. That’s fast enough for real-time performance, and detailed enough for mixing and production, keeping every transient and texture intact. 

Designed for Life on the Move 

Compact, balanced, and powerful, UNIT-4 is made to keep creators mobile without losing studio accuracy. Compact and balanced, the folded bass vent doubles as a carrying handle, making it easy to move between rooms or sessions.You can position it upright, or lay it on its side, which tilts the speaker 30 degrees for a perfect listening angle, even in tight spaces. With up to 20 hours of playback per charge, UNIT-4 is built to last through long sessions, rehearsals, or on-the-road production. 

Seamless Connection with W+ Link and Bluetooth®

The W+ Link uses dual antennas to secure a stable connection without interference from your surroundings. While Bluetooth® devices compress and decompress audio in order to send it wirelessly over the limited bandwidth, W+ Link has a larger bandwidth that allows audio to be sent uncompressed straight from the audio source to your headphones. It's better audio quality, and more consistent, too. 

The W+ Link operates on a dedicated radio-frequency band to send audio between your transmitter and monitors, unlike a Bluetooth connection which continuously swaps frequency bands. Each USB-powered transmitter contains two transmitter chips, and each broadcasts audio simultaneously. This means that if at any point there's signal interference, W+ Link switches seamlessly and automatically to the back-up stream. The W+ transmitter works up to 12 meters away and accepts analog input via minijack, so you can integrate it with your setup – from laptops to mixers and instruments – without hassle. But UNIT-4 is also connectable via Bluetooth® for everyday listening. 

Tune Your Sound

With the AIAIAI app, you can adjust the EQ to match your environment. There are presets for Outdoor, and Desktop Bass Tilt at -3, -6, -9, and -12dB – or you can craft your own profile with a custom five-band EQ, giving you a consistent reference wherever you go.
