Taking UNIT-4 for a spin outside the studio

[@Denki_yu Sento, Sumida City]

On November 23, AIAIAI supported the vision of musician Demsky & the team at Sankaku Magazine to bring an audio event to a Sento (japanese public bath) in the Sumida area of Tokyo. Despite the chilly weather, more than 300 people came through to get involved in the creative workshops, panel discussions (inc. some of the magazine’s editorial team) and dance the evening away with a variety of music from a plethora of music artists from all around Asia.

A working bath house during a regular day – Denki-yu Sento was the perfect escape from the Tokyo winter, while the hot spring water wasn’t flowing; artists such as Lullatone, Demsky, Fat Hamster & KANG New most definitely brought the heat with their intricate musical setups & performances. Sound was blasting over the course of the 9-hour event while Patty Pan, Baird Beer & Mezzanine Makers kept everyone fed & hydrated.

Big thanks to Sankaku Magazine & Demsky for the invitation, as well as all the people that came and experienced AIAIAI speakers in their truest & maybe most surreal setup to date. Linking up six speakers wirelessly the acts were able to perform with ultra low latency and sound tailored to suit the space.
